Attention Deficit/ Hyperactivity Disorder and Executive Functions Group
What is it?
Russel Barkley, PH.D, describes ADHD not as a deficit of attention, but rather a disorder of executive functioning skills. This group explores six executive functions and develops skills to improve functioning for individuals with ADHD and Executive Functioning Deficits.
Working Memory
The brain's "RAM" - what we need remember to complete tasks, stay focused, and return to tasks when interrupted.
Emotional Self-Control
The ability to feel and express emotions while honoring others' perspectives.
Sense of Time
The ability to monitor the passage of time and plan accordingly.
Starting and Stopping Tasks
Overcoming procrastination and avoiding "deadline panic."
Remember to Remember
Remembering the things that need to be done over a longer period of time - appointments, errands, etc.
Hindsight/Forethought
Learning from the past to improve future plans.
Join this 12 week group to learn skills to improve executive functioning and reduce symptoms of ADHD.

Small group size - 3-8 members (18+)

$45 per session, $480 in full (Aetna, Cigna, and Optum Insurances accepted)

Group starts Tuesday 7/30 and runs until 10/22, 6-7 pm

Participants will be expected to attend a one-hour group each week and will have homework to complete between sessions.

Participants will need a copy of Ari Tuckman's workbook, Understand Your Brain, Get More Done.
